Professional guides will take you on an adventure along the Fraser River, catching and releasing white sturgeon fish for that perfect photo op. After our team covers all of the angling licensing details and you are suited up in waders and boots, you will venture into the heart of the Fraser Valley to experience the thrill of reeling in North America’s largest freshwater fish. These powerful creatures can grow to great sizes, ranging from 7–10 feet (2–3 metres) in length and breaking the scale at 100–300 pounds (45–135 kilograms)! These majestic bottom-feeders quietly inhabit the murky waters of our local riverways but with a bit of patience and the keen fish-whisperer skills of our guides, you will quickly feel the exhilaration of tackling these aquatic giants. While the memories of this authentically British Columbian experience will never fade, you will have to bid your new scaly friends adieu. White sturgeon are a protected species and must be released to ensure healthy populations and preserve our local ecosystems. We recommend bringing along a windbreaker jacket and dressing in layers as it can be cooler on the water. Rain jackets to keep you as dry as possible (apart from the refreshing splashes of fins in your face!) will be provided. All other gear, including chest waders and rubber boots, and snacks to keep your energy up will be ready for you on the boat. Click to view photos & videos from past excursions.
