Before Qualitree, I was helping manage a small dairy farm here in Chilliwack and working for the BC Dairy Association. I was in university for Agriculture and decided to also take a step into Horticulture! What a step it was! I started at Qualitree after a referral that I carefully considered. I began as a Grower Assistant, soil sampling and working irrigation in the Rental Beds section, learning about our plants and what it meant to work in this industry!

As Head Grower, I ensure that our team of growers has what they need and that our plants are going to be the best that we can produce. I am always playing in the dirt experimenting, working to create that perfect soil recipe for each of our plants. At Qualitree, innovation and improvement are always encouraged so we collect a lot of data every day as we strive for the best, healthiest, most consistent product.

I love being able to learn new things internally and have a hand in pushing for Continuous Improvement. I also very much enjoy the encouragement and opportunity to learn things externally and apply them here at the company. I cannot speak higher of the people I get to share my day with on the Growing Team, as well as every single other department here. Everyone is also incredibly tolerant of my terrible puns.
