During the growing season, we collect all rainwater from the greenhouse roof and draw resources to and from our on-site reservoir (with a 42 million liter capacity)

Both inside greenhouse bays and in outside growing fields, ErfGoed cultivation floors create a closed system to capture and reuse water and fertilizers

LED Lighting
Where supplemental lighting is necessary, we’re actively converting our greenhouse bays to state-of-the-art, energy-efficient systems; otherwise, we aim to grow our plants in seasons where the photons are naturally abundant (and free!)
Heating
We have invested in the most efficient boilers available, powered by natural gas (clean fuel) energy

We strive to limit the use of synthetic controls and increase our use of alternatives, such as biological control agents and cultural controls
Paper & Organics Recycling
Paper, cardboard, and green waste are sorted and collected as part of our local recycling programs
Plastic Reduction & Improved Recyclability
Our innovative Q Trays can be reused repeatedly and larger grow pots are thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before being reused for the next crop
Moving forward, our switch to grey grow pots for all 4" and 6" sizes increases recycling potential
Electric Equipment
Our teams benefit from reduced noise and cleaner air from the use of electric tow tractors, golf carts, and bicycles (for shorter trips!)
