About This Project

Common Name:   Goshiki False Holly

Osmanthus “Goshiki” is also known as False Holly and, as the name implies, it’s not a true holly but has the look and leaf pattern of holly. The Japanese name “Goshiki” means “five-colored” and the plant lives up to its name with new foliage coming in pinkish-bronze and, as it matures, turning different shades of green with contrasting swirls of cream and gold.   This plant is a natural pick for combination planters in any season and also is a crowd pleaser all on it’s own in our Christmas Program.
